2023 Step Championship

WHO ARE THE TOP HIGH SCHOOL STEP TEAMS IN THE NATION?

In March 2023, the best eight high school step teams in the country began their quest for the 2023 National High School Performing Arts (NHSPA)™ Step Championship! The eight seeded teams faced off in four head-to-head matches, with online fan voted battles to determine who is the best high school step team in each matchup.

38,000 VOTES CAST!

Over the five-day period, over 38,000 votes were cast from voters across the country! These votes were then audited and calculated to determine who would progress to the NHSPA Step Championship semifinals and compete at Harlem’s World-Famous Apollo Theater on April 22nd.

We’re proud to announce that the victors of the quarterfinal matchups are Brentwood, Monsignor Scanlan, New Rochelle, and Nottingham!

The final four teams will take the stage and compete for $3,000 in cash prizes, a National Championship, and school pride.

HOW TO VOTE

• Visit this page between March 13-17, 2023.
• Click the red VOTE NOW button above the bracket.
• Register to vote by entering your name and email address.
• Vote for your favorite high school step team in each matchup.
  • You can vote up to 10 times on each matchup, so show your favorite teams some love and vote, vote, vote!

VOTING RULES & PROCESS

• Voting is limited to 10 votes per matchup, per round, for each unique email address.
  • You must complete voting for all matchups in the round before casting your 9th set of votes, 8th set of votes etc.
• Voting opens: 12:01am ET on Monday, March 13, 2023.
• Voting closes: Midnight PT on Friday, March 17, 2023.
• All votes will be tabulated and audited at the conclusion of voting.
• ANY suspicious voting activity will be investigated and could result in certain votes being disqualified.
• Official results will be announced the week of March 20, 2023.
