Stephan Hartman – Chief Executive Officer
Stephan Hartman has conceived, built and acquired sports and entertainment properties including, most recently, the U.S. Sports Film Festival. He worked on Wall Street in leadership positions in private equity, investment banking and law for Apollo Management, Houlihan Lokey and Lehman Brothers. Prior to that, as an attorney, his work included representing sports and entertainment talent and businesses. Stephan earned degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., Economics, B.S. Wharton), Villanova University (J.D.) and Northwestern University (M.B.A., Finance).
Kevin Patrick – Chief Digital Operations Officer
Kevin Patrick is a digitech entrepreneur and executive with broad operational experience leading initiatives in marketing, digital technology, new media (VR/AR/XR), AI advertising, cybersecurity, blockchain and business intelligence & data analysis. He has held positions at and served clients that include Viacom, Herbalife, Merck, Disney, Miramax Films, Sport Safety International, ABC News, Comedy Central, Fox Sports, CBS News, MTV Networks, BET, National Lampoon, Lucent Technologies, FIFA, Delta Airlines and Sony Music. He is a Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Performer-Musician-Producer-Keyboardist-Vocalist and was a member of pioneering American Rock Band Debbie Harry / Blondie 2001-07 sharing both stage and studio with industry artists and producers including INXS / The CARS / Joss Stone / Lucinda Williams / Tribe Called Quest / Diggable Planets / Roberta Flack / Gladys Night / Taj Mahal / Amel Larriux / Rene Flemming / Uta Lemper / + many others. He was founder of ShareTheMic™ – software developed to utilize the power of music entertainers that raise awareness and funding for humanitarian causes online with their content and fan base combined with volunteer activism successfully registering over 65,000+ global independent music artists to facilitate partnerships with 2000+ major non profits, F1000 corporate sponsors, and several media agencies creating partnerships with Save The Children, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders and hundreds of other Non Profits. Kevin graduated the Berklee College of Music with a BA in Music Theory Composition and Film Scoring and has received degrees in Sound Design / Acoustic Engineering and Live Performance.
Victoria Duruh – Chief Talent Officer
Victoria Duruh is a renowned talent agent, casting director and producer in the fashion and modeling industry. As a former Senior Director at Elite Model Management, Victoria was responsible for scouting, booking, developing, casting, managing and publicizing premiere talent. She matched celebrities and athletes with top brand clients including Lancôme, L’Oreal USA, L’Uomo Vogue/Teen Vogue, Reebok, Sports Illustrated, Maybelline, Harper’s Bazaar and many others. She has produced countless premiere events, including fashion shows, film screenings, Oscars events and the U.S. Sports Film Festival. Victoria is a proud alumnus of Auburn University.
Jonathan Sternberg – Legal
Jonathan Sternberg is an attorney qualified in South Africa. Prior to moving abroad, he worked for one of South Africa’s leading sports management and marketing companies, where he focused on athlete management and tournament production, specifically in the sport of golf. He has worked for actors agencies in the film industry in Los Angeles, and in the corporate departments of law firms in London and New York, and in the general counsel’s office for corporations in New Jersey and New York. He assisted in the marketing and staging of three events for the United States Sports Film Festival. Jonathan currently lives in Eugene, Oregon.
Doug Schaer – Key Board Member, Advisor and Investor
Doug Schaer is a sports and entertainment entrepreneur and business strategist. He serves as COO for LiveXLive Media (NASDAQ: LIVX), a global digital media company dedicated to live music, Chief Advisor to two-time NBA All-Star and entrepreneur Baron Davis and Founder of Hero Ventures live Entertainment company, which produces The Marvel Experience. A former MLB PA-certified player agent, he spearheaded the Chicago Shamrox NLL franchise launch, the reALIze (Muhammad Ali sculpture at AEG Live!) exhibition and The Grammys 50th Anniversary Tour. Doug earned degrees from Wesleyan University (B.A.) and USC (J.D.) and is a California Bar member.
Cabot Orton – Key Board Member, Advisor and Investor
Cabot Orton is Proprietor of The Vermont Country Store, “purveyors of the practical and hard to find since 1946,” a nationally renowned direct retailer. He was co-founder and Executive Director of Slamdunk Film Festival, a pioneering alternative event production and content acquisition company in Los Angeles, Park City, Utah and Cannes, France. Orton recently launched the digitally native natural wellness brand TIGERHONEY. He lives in Vermont and New York City. He holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
Jordan Roll – Director of Media
Jordan Roll has spent the last decade on stage performing for crowds around the world. Competition is nothing new to Jordan, as he and his group Six Appeal have won numerous international competitions in the professional a cappella realm. As the Director of Media for UpStaged, he brings years of experience and execution in the performing arts world to the team. Jordan has a BM in Music and Opera Performance from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN 10’. Go Cobbers!
Caitlin Eck – Director of Communications
Caitlin Eck is an integrated marketing, publicity and copywriting services professional. Before joining UpStaged, Caitlin specialized in comprehensive publicity campaigns for books, authors and publishers. She began her career at Penguin Group USA (now Penguin Random House) and most recently served as the Director of Publicity for Chicago Review Press and its parent company, Independent Publishers Group. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Richmond and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
